February 14, 2023—The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is pleased to welcome Dave Sevigny as a new board member. Sevigny will serve a four-year term on the airport’s 10-member board.
Residing in Lexington since 1985, Sevigny is currently a representative for District 10 of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council. He was the owner of an independent IT company that was awarded Commerce Lexington’s Small Business of the year in 2010, and he was awarded the Kentucky SBA Small Businessperson of the Year in 2011. He previously worked for IBM after obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Buffalo. In 2011, he obtained a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University.
Sevigny has served the community as board chair and vice chair of multiple program areas for Commerce Lexington. He frequently leads the governing board of his church and partners with Junior Achievement as a teacher and board member. In addition, he has served on the boards of his residential neighborhoods.
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is the governing body for Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. Its 10 volunteer members are appointed by the Mayor of Lexington and confirmed by the Urban County Council.
