Open Records Requests

Pursuant to KRS 61.870 to 61.884, the public records of Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board (the "Airport Board") are open for inspection by any person upon submission of a written letter/application to Amy Caudill, official custodian of the public records of the Airport Board.

Letters/Applications must be hand delivered, mailed, or sent via facsimile to:

The Airport Board also requires that requests to inspect its public records: be signed by the applicant, have the applicant's name printed legibly on the written application, and describe the records requested. Assistance in making a written application to inspect public records may be provided by an Airport Board employee upon request. The Airport Board's office hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays.

Applicants for the inspection of public records shall be advised of the availability of the records requested for inspection and shall be notified in writing not later than three (3) working days after receipt of a letter/application for inspection of any reason the records requested are not available for public inspection.

Applicable fees shall be determined in accordance with KRS 61.874. For requests for noncommercial purposes: (a) copies of standard format written public records shall be furnished on payment of a fee of $0.10 per page and (b) copies of non-written public records or nonstandard format public records shall be furnished upon payment of a fee equal to the actual cost of producing copies of such records by a process not likely to damage or alter the record. Applicants also shall be required to pay applicable postage fees. For requests for commercial purposes, applicants may be required to provide a certified statement of the commercial purpose, enter into a contract with the Airport Board, and pay the fee specified by the Airport Board.
