January 27, 2016 – The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is pleased to welcome Council Member Russ Hensley and Don Mosier as new members. Council Member Hensley and Mr. Mosier will serve four-year terms and will replace outgoing Airport Board members Roszalyn Akins and Nancy Wiser.
Russ Hensley is a council member with Lexington's Urban County Council and is CEO of Shatterbox, a multidisciplinary design firm based in Lexington and Louisville. He is also the founder and CEO of several information technology-related businesses, including Hensley, Elam & Associates and asiGuardian. Those companies, as well as Shatterbox, collectively serve nearly 2,000 corporations based in and around Kentucky. Council Member Hensley is a general aviation pilot and is actively involved in the aviation community.
Don Mosier is chief operating officer and executive vice president of East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Inc. In this role, he manages the day-to-day operations of power production, power delivery and systems operations, power supply, environmental affairs, and construction and engineering. Mr. Mosier previously served as vice president of St. Louis-based Ameren Energy Marketing, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation. Mr. Mosier is also a general aviation pilot.
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is the governing body for Lexington's Blue Grass Airport. Its 10 volunteer members are appointed by the Mayor of Lexington and approved by the Urban County Council.
