U.S. Customs

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection office is located at 4015 Airport Road, outside of the terminal in the air freight facility.

Standard hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm. Customs service is available by appointment only after 5 pm or on weekends and should be arranged with the customs inspector no later than 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. For weekend and holiday appointments, requests must be submitted by 4:30 pm the Friday prior.

A U.S. Customs agent is available at Blue Grass Airport as a service to users. There is a fee for the service based on the maximum gross landing weight (MGLW) of the aircraft. The associated fees are listed below:

After-Hours Arrivals

$100 per hour (2 hour minimum)


The after-hours fee is in addition to the base fee and is assessed when an aircraft uses United States Customs and Border Patrol (“Customs”) outside Customs’ normal business hours.
