U.S. Customs

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection office is located outside of the terminal in the air freight facility (4015 Airport Road) and is open Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm. Customs service is available by appointment after 5 pm or on weekends and should be arranged with the customs inspector two business days prior to arrival. Travelers are encouraged to visit the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website, www.cbp.gov, prior to traveling abroad. This site provides a wealth of travel tips and details various rules and regulations governing travel to and from the United States.

A U.S. Customs agent is available at Blue Grass Airport as a service to users. There is a fee for the service based on the maximum gross landing weight (MGLW) of the aircraft. The associated fees are listed below:

$100 per hour (2 hour minimum)

The after-hours fee is in addition to the base fee and is assessed when an aircraft uses United States Customs and Border Patrol (“Customs”) outside Customs’ normal business hours.
